Suitable for beginners (Ages 18+)
On this 5-week course you will learn about mindful meditation and the benefits of having a regular meditation practice as part of your self-care routine.
Classes will be held on Zoom.

Week 1 – Something to invigorate you
Housekeeping
Introductions – a chance for you to introduce yourself
Discuss group rules – this is so we all feel safe
A quick overview of the course content in brief
Let us explore – There are different styles of meditation – what is mindful meditation? And why is it different to other meditations?
There will be a practical exercise – we will touch on the basics.
Week 2 – Having a routine
Let us explore – why is it important to have a meditation practice?
Where to start and what you need to know to start your meditation practice to become more mindful inspired by nature.
Week 3 – Self-care
Let us discuss. This week is about self-care and how meditation can help you to take better care of yourself.
You will be guided to do a mindful meditation. This will be for a minute each time. You will be instructed otherwise so you feel comfortable if this does not suit you. We will do it twice at least.
You will have an opportunity to share your experience with the group if you wish between each meditation.
Also, you will have a chance to share tips with each other on how to improve your wellbeing.
Week 4 – Getting outdoors with mindful walking meditation
Learn about and take part in a mindful walking meditation in nature if it is possible to help rejuvenate you.
I will talk you through a mindful walking meditation. If the weather permits, you can do this outdoors for the second time we do it. When indoors, please be aware that you will need extra space.
If there is time, we will finish off with a sitting mindful meditation.
There is a chance to share your experience between each meditation.
Week 5 – Taking time to be and to appreciate this moment as it is
During the last week of this course, you will deepen your meditation practice increasing your self-awareness. We will stretch the length of time we meditate to 2 minutes. We will repeat this a few times.
There will be an opportunity for you to share your experience with the group.
As it is the last week, you will be asked to give feedback. There will be options to continue your journey with Chinar, a qualified teacher by your side, if you choose to do so. However, it is not necessary. You will have gained skills to begin having a mindful mediation practice.

You will also have the opportunity to do mindfulness activities to bring your attention in to the here and now which can help to calm you.

CONNECT TO NATURE
Come along to CONNECT TO NATURE – take up mindfulness activities, walk in nature, meet others in a friendly group and be guided by a qualified Meditation Teacher.
